THE FLASH, SEASON ONE, PART ONE

Well, that was fun.

For the most part I enjoyed this more and more as it went on. I can overlook any flaws it may have due to the winning cast and the knowing writing. Things are also helped by nice production values, as a show of this kind would really die on it’s arse if the super-powered fisticuffs didn’t look good. One particular highlight was the Flash’s fight with (Green) Arrow in the aptly named Flash vs. Arrow episode – with a name like that it had to deliver and it did. That particular episode was also a success in its other goal, namely that, having never watched Arrow, I’m off to check it out now. If it’s any good (and even if it’s not) I’ll mention it here.

Now I’m looking forward to the next half of the season!

  1. I agree. Having already watched Arrow for a couple of seasons my expectations were pretty high and they more than exceeded my expectations. Flash looks like it will be a solid show for many seasons to come

  2. I’m now half way through the 1st season of Arrow. It’s good so far, but it does suffer a little at the moment because of its villain of the week structure (dull businessman from the list, again!) and the fact that there is a lot of family drama – it often feels a little soapy – two problems I have have not had with the Flash. I have been assured that it improves a lot, especially by season 2 and that what has so far aired of season 3 is even better again.
